Not All MCA Restructuring Companies Work the Same Way

Business owners deserve more than a sales pitch and a generic program. Life Advisors combines business context, financial review, education, and coordinated action.

How We Work

Why the Timing of Funder Engagement Matters

When a business is already struggling with MCA payments, the timing of negotiations and the allocation of program payments matter. Limited settlement funds can restrict the offers a company can make. Early funder communication can still help establish the business’s circumstances, explore revised payment terms, and seek an interim arrangement.

Fee-First Programs

When Outreach Waits, Pressure Continues

In a fee-first program, early payments may be directed toward the provider’s fees before funds begin accumulating for negotiated payments or settlements. If the provider also postpones contacting funders until those fees are paid, the business owner can be making program payments while the underlying accounts remain unaddressed.

During that waiting period, the business may continue facing payment demands, collection activity, and mounting cash-flow pressure—with no negotiated arrangement in place to address those demands.

The Life Advisors Approach

Life Advisors Prioritizes Early Funder Engagement

Life Advisors’ MCA restructuring approach begins with reviewing the business’s obligations and cash flow, followed by authorized funder outreach once the required onboarding documents and authorizations are complete. Full payment of program fees is not a prerequisite for beginning that outreach.

We explain the applicable fee structure and payment process so clients understand the difference between service fees, funds available for negotiated payments, and payments actually received by funders.

Business owners deserve to know when work begins, where their money is going, and what progress is being made on each account.

Any revised payment terms, settlement, or pause in collection activity requires the applicable funder’s agreement or another valid legal basis. Enrollment and outreach alone do not guarantee those outcomes.

What makes the Life Advisors approach different

Business First

We look beyond a balance or payment amount. Understanding how the company earns revenue, manages expenses, and serves customers helps place the MCA obligations in the context of the real business.

Consultative Not Transactional

Our goal is to help the owner understand the situation and the proposed path. We explain the process in direct language and encourage informed decisions rather than presenting another quick source of capital.

Action From the Beginning

After required information is provided, agreements are completed, and the business enters the program, Life Advisors’ stated approach is to begin the restructuring process promptly. Exact actions and timing depend on the circumstances and should be explained before enrollment.

The Whole Picture

When several MCAs are involved, each obligation can affect the others and the same operating cash. A coordinated review helps avoid treating one advance as though it exists in isolation.

Education and Clear Expectations

We explain what MCA restructuring is, what it is not, the information required, the owner’s responsibilities, and the risks that may arise. No responsible provider can guarantee a particular outcome.

Looking Beyond the Immediate Pressure

The first priority is the current hardship. If the situation stabilizes, Life Advisors may help the business consider additional operational or financial needs and, where appropriate, introduce qualified third-party resources. Partner-delivered services must be identified as such.
